It was announced this morning that Amtrak is relinquishing operations in California to the Union Pacific. it will be interesting to see what changes this causes to our modeling.
I’m out in South Texas, and just recently purchased an Amtrak P42, material handling car and four coaches. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the same thing that’s happened out in California happens here. I guess I’ll just have to learn to look at it like I do my other historical trains. They’re just trains from the past…
