Attention Canada people

And some Americans people too, Sunset models is coming out with the most beautiful steam locomotive of all time (of course it is ! !) The K-1a, 4-8-4 “Northern” #3100 or 3101, it’s @ $1200 big Americano dollars, now if I can only sell both my kidneys I may make a bid on one.

Canada people? Americans people?

Oh, you mean Canadians and Americans…

Amazing.

So i guess i shouldn’t be here?

Interesting choice. I take it we’re talking brass.

Unfortunately it’s a bit rich for me at this time.

Fergie

Alex: (Australian peoples) Do you run Canadian Pacific ? ? This was strictly a geographic response, as I suspect there are not too many CPR modellers in Indonesia or Madagascar or Australia or Austria (which one is in Europe?) sure you can be here, all are welcome, have fun.

I am waiting for a Key Imports PRR J1, but that will be a while, maybe two years or more. The price is near $1400 US, and @ that rate, it will likely be my only one in brass. The others that I have, mostly BLIs, are wonderful and work well at a fifth of the price.

However, if they asked for reservations on a 2-10-4 Selkirk, I’d be in there with my my piggy bank broken open.

New Zealander people reading this too!!

Brass… no sounds more like gold!

It “IS” brass, just received an email advert. from them. I will say this, it is ONE SWEET LOOKING LOCOMOTIVE!!! I have an olde RR calendar that someone gave me way back in 1985. It shows a Great Northern with it’s tender going over a bridge over the Souris River in Canada. I believe this river is in BC, Canada, just over the border from Montana. I have to dig this picture up because it sounds like the numbered loco on the calandar. Now lets see, how can a retired person on limited income afford this baby? Well, I can go pick up cans and bottles along the roadways, or, I can make a real funny video and hope to win one of the prizes on the TV show, “America’s Funniest Videos”.

Grayfox: Do you mean “Northern”---- not Great Northern ? ? ? If it’s over the Souris River it’s in Manitoba not B.C. Manitoba is above North Dakota and Minnesota

Any chance someone has a picture? Maybe I’m under a large rock. I just read another thread that said brass is dead.

Scratches head

I’m an Americansssss people?

Well now, the least you could do is go onto get the best looking steamer ever right… Which would be any of the New Haven’s I-class…

Sweet! CP Northerns are some of my favorite steam locomotives! Time to break out that penny jar…

I’ll pass. Very nice locomotive, but I’ll be saving up for PCM’s new upcoming
GN S-2s.[:D]

In reality, that’s the steam engine I’m most likely to get, mainly because of the cost factor…And now you know why I love them, eh, Rick?
