This morning UP1995 made an appearance on MPRCB-16, departing Proviso at 09:22. We headed out to LaFox and saw him run through around 10:45 with CNW8646
second and 8701 third out. It sounds to me like UP1995 has a K5LA airhorn, not a K5LLA like on most SD70ACe’s. Link to the audio recording:

Thanks! Couldn’t do anything about the SD70M in the first part of the recording, only time I’ve seen 3 trains on that track at one time since I started going there in January 2006.
Personally I’d rather hear the engine down on it knees earning it’s keep lugging tonnage up a grade. Horns are nice, but they don’t make the money wheel of railroading turn.
The spot I caught him at (LaFox Road) is usually a spot requiring the engines to run in full throttle…Besides the audio wasn’t that great, EMD’s and GE’s don’t mix audio-wize. The GE is a totally different engine type with a totally different sound.
