AC, DC or DCC?
You can try googling “auto reverse model railroad.” Be careful, you may find a number which are DCC reversers, which isn’t what you want.
Do you want to buy a circuit and plug it in, or are you looking for a circuit to build from components?

Minitronics has a reversing unit specifically designed for trolleys. Check their website for details: miniatronics@ earthlink.net. It works on DC so you have to provide independeent power if you are using DCC.

How elaborate do you want it? Just back and forth, timed stops at each end, or in the middle? For DC and going just back and forth, a simple circuit can be whipped up with a couple of Twin-T dectectors and three relays.
