Autumn in the Sierra Nevada Mountains...

On a beautiful Autumn day in the Sierra Nevada mountains, UP 8207 pulls the Roper, Utah to Roseville, California manifest train into to Truckee, California. The train has made its way from Sparks, Nevada and places east, up through the Truckee River Canyon, and still has the most treacherous part of the route left, the ride up and over Donner Pass.

Pulling into Truckee

I hope you find the image enjoyable.

Nice shot.

As Erik said ! [tup][tup]

I (for one) really appreciate the quality of pictures shared here, by yourself, Chris, and Charles, and Ed to name several off the top of my head.

That does not mean there are not others who share their photos here as well.

I wish I had the eye and patience to use something beyond a Kodak Throw-away.[banghead]

Great picture Ryan [tup][tup].

Was looking at your avatar, was this where it was taken?

We’re still thinking Spring here in Michigan. Lots of green, and a beautiful time of year. I wouldn’t live in the southwest on a bet.

Thank you all for your kind words!

Chad, the photo you posted is the correct location. Drano Lake Tunnel in the Columbia River Gorge.

Thanks again,
