This is my take on a custom unit for my railroad called ‘The Iowa Central Railroad.’ I have no motto yet, but I love the paint I put onto It is Phase III Phase I and Phase II are dug up somewhere I’ll have to find them tomorrow but this is a CSX YN2/CNW Widecab bolt scheme combo if anyone wants to see their own paint scheme lmk and ill work one out

Specs of this AC44CWH

  • AC Traction (Utilizes GE’s Steerable Trucks)
  • Nose+Hood/Rear nose+Radiator Marker/Class lights
  • GE Tier 4 Style Cab (Featured on AC44C6Ms and ET44ACs and so on)
  • HEP Generator (Only if a Passenger Unit dies on the ‘Iowa Central Commuter Service’ subsidiary)
  • Dual Ditchlights (Porch and under porch on both ends)
  • Canadian Single ditch Marker light
  • GE GEVO-12 12-Cylinder Prime Mover
  • Some AC44CWHs have teardrop windshields (IACR original units ONLY. all Ex. CP, KCS, KCSM, IAIS, etc., do not, as they retain their original specs but modified and rushed into service to fix the ongoing power shortage)
  • On roster using road numbers 1-450
  • Former AC6000CW units have F40PH Style Cab and other various features compared to the AC44CWH and are classified as AC44CWPH and are more widely used on the Passenger system

Welcome to the forums.

Those paint schemes are fantastic.

Rich

Thanks!

I’m working on a few more hoping they are good. Thanks for the feedback

Do you have any suggestions on what other RxRs I should do?

GabeTehGameh

Welcome to the forums!

Those are nice paint schemes.

Other than AWVR?

Yeah, Other than AWVR as a challenge for myself

How about my favorite, the Monon?

The Monon locomotives came in red and gray, but also black and gold. If you accept the challenge, I anxiously await the results.

This should get you started.

Monon Railroad history remembered - Trains

Rich

Alrighty!

I’ll get started right away!

any specific locomotive?

id rather not do a GEVO since CSX put the black and gold paint on one I might go classic EMD maybe a GP40 or SD40

The F3A

Found 4 F3As on Mr. Eby’s Site not sure what one I should do I might do all 4 in all of the Monons Paint Schemes

The F3A drawings are Ph1, Ph2, Ph3, and Ph4

Do all four. The more, the merrier.

But each a different color scheme, of course.

Rich

Alrighty

I’ll do all four in all of the Monon’s Paint Schemes. I’ll get started on the Ph1 F3A and so on I will upload the drawings as I go!

Heres the Gold and Black F3A Ph1

I can only do so many replies so I won’t be able to post replies much as I’m still a new user

I just finished one of the other Monon Railways paint schemes

Well, we can take care of that in short order.

Rich

Here are the units that I have done currently I’m getting more done as time passes

These are the Ph1a F3As

And what do you mean?
