Anyone know what happened to US Plastics, out of south Florida. They were going to make railroad ties out of re-cycled milk jugs, etc…

Are they able to get the biodegradable corn filler out of the plastic? That would compete favorably with the $100 wood tie.

This change in technology would make for an interesting article–lots of implications with this technology–less rot, possibly different weathering characteristics… (also, questions–would plastic ties burn like wood, for instance?).

Where in Asia? Asia is a pretty big continent.
