To answer the original question (keep in mind I don’t know much about DCC), people have adjusted the CVs for better operation overall, so it may be possible to make it do what you want (someone else will have to give you a better answer). Bachmann uses a very cheap board, and many of the members here have gotten their Bachmanns to run much better by replacing the stock DCC decoder with a good quality one.
