What Bachmann HO EZ Track switch would work for siding They say number 6 and 5 any info would help ?
Are you using a remote turnout? Are you combining any other type of track with it, for example Atlas Snap Track?
I’m using all bachmann and I want to put a siding next the main line so it be remote turnout.
My grandson’s Bachmann set came with a 4-8-4 steam loco and a 2s" radius oval. We build a 4’ x 6’ layout with the oval and two EZ Track turnouts to interior sidings. The loco does not like tracking thru these turnourts. Not sure at this point what specificEZ track turnouts we bought but suggest you determine what turnouts will work with the locos you intend to operate.
Number 6 should handle anything. Number 5 will handle most locomotives or cars. Since you will be curving back to parallel the main line, keep the curve gentle.
RP_11 on the NMRA’s site will give you some help.
Good luck
Paul
I all ready have a Track #6 Remote Right Hand Crossover and I use 18" Curve and the larges loco I use is a Athearn SD40T-2 runs fine . I don’t want to to use a Crossover but get the same size between the tracks .
