Bachmann, HO scale, E-Z Command DCC system
Whatever momentum feature might supposedly be present, my Bachmann Spectrum steam engines start and stop pretty quickly and jerkily, and there is no coasting effect at all.
I really like my new Bachmann E-Z Command system, but if someone could answer a question for me, that would be GREAT! While the DCC Ready Bachmann engines run fine, they and especially all of my old Bachmann Plus DC locomotives make an annoying humming sound. I am afraid that they are getting ruined or something; I do not know why they are humming, is it damaging the motors??
Thank you.
“Santa” gave me one for Xmas…with A 060…runs GRATE !, I had a layout with app. 300 ft of track “HO” when i was 30-32 now @ 65 just geting back in , this DCC stuf is GRATE…Just remember you young RXR s we had to make bell & whistle sounds for the Kids…with our vocal cords and lips.
I noticed that the EZ Command did seem to make my Regulae DC Locomotives run at full power even when standing still. Will that short their lives?
Great intro to DCC. Quick, easy, affordable.
Great starting system. DC only trains may hum but you can still use them. You can’t with the next move up. Unless you are after the top system, this is the best of both worlds. It works great!!
