I just got my Feb. 2004 issue of MR, and as I was flipping through the pages, something in the Standard Hobby Supply ad caught my eye. They had a small ad for a Bachmann (I assume Spectrum, from the $149.99 price) 2-8-2 Mikado. It says that it has an April 2004 release date. Does anybody have any more info about it? I checked Bachmann’s website and they don’t even have it listed.
There is a thread about it on the Bachmann Forum.This Mikado is a Chinese prototype that was importated into the US back in the 1980’s.I think two or three of them are owned by tourist hauling railroads or shortlines.
