On my power pack one side says variable 12v and the other side says 12v.Which side should I use to power the rails? [8D]
The variable posts. Your trains are likely analog run by variable voltage Direct Current (or DC), so as you dial up the voltage, your trains will work harder by going faster or hauling up steeper grades. The straight 12v is for any switches or other AC (Alternating Current) devices.
