Baker, NV Passenger Car House History?

Last year, while in Baker, NV, I spotted this old passenger car which had been turned into a residence. It immediately grabbed my curiosity since it appears to be wood sided (so not an ordinary heavyweight) and the layout of the windows is interesting. I’m speculating that it could’ve been a combine or sleeper in a past life.

I’d really like to know the history of this car. What was it originally or where did it come from? I found a picture of the other side from a long time ago (I don’t know old), where it was in much worse shape. Coincidentally, the car and surrounding property is for sale right now! Zillow lists the car being built in 2003, which is obviously wrong. Here’s a link to the listing, in case you’d like to see more photos of the car. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/235-W-Carson-St-Baker-NV-89311/2064247388_zpid/

I know this is a long shot, but I’d really like to see if anyone here knows anything about the origins of this car. Thanks!

Wow, that car is about 60 miles from the nearest line I can find at Ely on the Nevada Northern, and even further from the abandoned Newhouse branch of the LA&SL.

Yeah, it’s in the middle of actual nowhere. Wonder how it got there. What do you think about the window layout, any ideas on what it might’ve been? The blanked-off/high windows end is throwing me off.
