On an Amtrak California Capitol Corridor yesterday I saw four hi-cube boxcars in Great Northern’s BIg Sky scheme. Their reporting marks were “GNRR.” There were no other markings. Did these four escape the BN/BNSF paint shop?
Sometimes I wi***hey all had “escaped” . . . .
“GN” is the reporting marks for Great Northern, not “GNRR”… GNRR is the Georgia Northeastern Railroad Company. Did these cars have the full “Great Northern” and the goat logo???

No Goat and if mistaken I’ll say it I might have just seen “GN” not “GNRR.” Anyway they were definitely big sky. If Georgia Northeastern is painting their railcars the same same shade of blue, I’ll tip my cap to them.
Sorry for the lack of photo. They flew by too quicklyl.
Heres a link to some photos of Georgia Northeastern freight cars. The box car in one of the photos looks pretty close to Big Sky Blue. http://www.krunk.org/~joeshaw/pics/shortlines/gnrr/
That’s it. I stand corrected. It was a matter of seeing what I wanted to see. Thanks jarubel!
