Bluepoint manual turnout controls

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of the Bluepoint Manual turnout controls offered by Micromark. I would like to control my turnouts by some sort of cable hook up. These look like what I had in mind. Problem is that they are not much cheaper than an electric control. Any thoughts?

If you’re looking for something similar and a little cheaper take a look at Bullfrog manual turnout controls by Fast Tracks. You can get them in kit form for about $6.00. However, by the time you add the cost for the control wire, etc you need for these or the Bluepoints you are at the price level for a tortoise.

Have a look at Hump Yard controls. They even look like an interlocking machine from an old tower.

I’Ve used BluePoint at my module Salina. I’ve made the wire stronger with a brass tube or a thicker wire.
