does anybody know where i can find bnsf train schedules. I searched day and night on the web with no luck.

The railroads generally do not advertise freight train schedules to the public. Particularly post 9-11.

I kinda figured thats why. But why are Norfolk Southern and CSX schedules posted.

what schedules? If you find any BNSF schedules, let me know, let them know too! I call the lineup and am 5 x’s out, 45 minutes later, I am getting called for work??? In fact I don’t think that most of the class ones believe in schedules, only for locals and roadswitchers…Ken

The Bull Sheet, which lists many CSX freight “schedules” includes a disclaimer, as I recall, that those are common “call” times. I can usually depend on seeing the same trains at approximately the same times on the Montreal Secondary, but… And I’ve heard more than one crew “die on the law”, stranding a train on a siding until they can get a new crew in.

if you have a ns schedual throw it away its not worth the paper it is wrote on. We get them and they are in no way true. not even close. But I have devised a way of schedualing trains and it is 100% accurate. it dont matter what railroad you want to see this method works on all railroads and commuter lines. 100% gaurentee of accuracy.

the reason i want schedules is just to get an idea of how many trains travel through a certain area.

[?] [:)]The suspense is killing me Wabash1, what is your formula for scheduled railroads? (make sure you have a patent or copyright on the plan, someone might try selling it to all the Class 1’s)

well ok. very easy to do go to the tracks and sit. get out of car walk up toward rail looking both ways see headlight No then go sit down wait a little bit. go back to tracks do you see headlight . No well pick up rocks and throw them wait… theres is a headlight go back to car. wait til train shows up. se it go by. log time and date and train symbol down and do this for all trains by there that day. then in 5 years 10 years it wont matter this scheduall is going to be accurate for that day. the railroads cant get that accurate ever. timetables are a thing of the past you will never see a timetable that list trains in it again. there is no such thing. railroaads dont run on timetables and any train can run at anytime.
