Bob April's trees

Like many of the garden railroaders seem to do, my wife has staked a claim to doing the scenery for our layout. That said, I often point out scenery articles in MR for her to read. After reading Bob’s item on silk flower trees, I suddenly found myself sleeping on the floor. Apparently I should have read it first myself. Nice trees Bob, sorry about the divorce.

Keep in mind that the item you mentioned is in the April issue.

Right, the trees item in the April issue. I gave it to my wife to read before I did and I slept on the floor last night. [X-)] Someone forgot to tell her it was the April issue. That someone is, naturally, me.

When I read that article, I wondered if the “true” author, might be a fan of Star Trek. In Start Trek mythology (prior to the “reboot” by JJ Abrams) Captain Robert T. April was the first C.O. of the U.S.S. Enterprise (before Kirk or Pike).
