bowser buying stewert

does anyone feel that the quality of stewert products will suffer since bowser bought them out.

Absolutly not! Bowser and Stewart both produce high quality products and the merger should continue both products down that road!

rgh,

This was bantered about a couple of weeks ago when it all came to a head. Bowser produces the steamers and buys Stewart to cover the diesel side of things. It makes good business sense.

Hopefully, this will help out both companies in the long run so that they can maintain their current high quality standards and keep them from falling into the hands of companies of lesser reputations and business smarts.

I really don’t have much experience with bowser,i ran one of their steam i think it was a 2-10-2 on a friends layout once it had some problems{mainly the friend}.I do however own several stewert engines and like them very well.I was just curious as to weather or not bowser was going to produce the stewert line in die cast. thanks for the info.

Why would Bowser change the manufacturing process of Stewart locomotives. Stewart’s high quality is very well known and a smart business will/should leave well enough alone!!

Bowser puts out a fine product, and I am sure they will keep the Stewart quality with that line of equipment as well. I don’t know the full story behind Stewarts selling. Its sad to see a good company sell out or fail.

Nscalers would love to see some Stewart models right-sized.
Bowser has some nice Nscale hoppers & cabeese.

Bowser for the most part leaves well enough alone. They have purchased many scale
railroad manufactures in the past, and if anything have made improvements on some items. I agree with tstage, in that they want to be in the diesel market. In my opinion the quality of Stewert most likely will not be compromised. I say this as a owner of many
Bowser products. [2c]

No, I’m not concerned about the quality of Stewart’s products being compromised. Bower’s quality and service is also excellent. The Stewart line is a good fit for them, in terms of expanding into a segment of the market they previously weren’t in. Bowser has aquired a good many other MR manufacturers in the past and improved, rather than harmed the quality of the acquired lines.
Have Fun,
