Bullfrog Manual Turnout Control

I bought the unassembled Bullfrog kit and the 36" control rod kit from fast-tracks.net. First I looked at homemade manual turnout controls by using search on the Model Railroader forum and concluded that I would be fooling around forever. You can see all about it on fast-tracks.

This is for Ross and Gargraves, probably Atlas and Scaletrack too. Sort of like a Tortose except smaller and manually operated via a plastic tube in another housing plastic tube. Choke cable style, mine has a S curve in it and operates smoothly and easily.

The Bullfrog has spring loaded ball detents that move the spring wire up to the switch throwbar. You can hear and feel it click in each position as it firmly holds the point rails against the stock rails on the switch. You can tell if the switch route is for straight or divergent by if the knob on your facia is in or out.

They even have a kit to operate two switches at once in a crossover. I am definatly going to use Bullfrog on all switches that are too far away for Caboose Industries Ground Throws. I am not connected to Bullfrog or Fast-Tracks in any way.
