Buying Slides - Accurate Description

Hello all. Looking to get your thoughts on something I see happening with buying slides on eBay. In short, I collect slides of specific railroads/regions, and often see “Original Slide” referenced in the item description. After purchasing, the item is removed from the available slides in the seller’s postings, but after a few weeks the same “original” slide is re-listed and labeled as such - not a duplicate slide.

To me it doesn’t matter much as I received what I paid for, but I do find it a bit deceptive to list “original” when clearly they are duplicates. What are your thoughts?

Sometimes guys would take multiple shots of the same thing and they truly were originals.

Yes–I often spam the button when I’m doing photos.

My father was a huge slide taker. If the locomotive was in good light and the pic was going to be good, he would take multiple slides of them. He would then take them to events to trade them.

So my thoughts are it isn’t clear that they are duplicates as you imply.

Maybe what they secretly mean is the duplicate is an Original Duplicate!! LOL
