Read the post on the 400 and have a few questions: Does anyone make an N scale model of the 400 passenger cars circa late 40’s early 50"s and what steam locos and early diesel did were used?
An addendum to cbq 400 ? This would be for the Flambeau 400 to Northern WI particularly Eagle River
I don’t know what’s available in N but (I think) Con Cor have/had a line of shorties (about 70’) that were patterned after the CNW 400 cars (and were instantly recognizable as such to a real psgr freak)
As for engines: In diesel everything from an E-6 to E-8 and a single Alco DL-109 or FM Erie-built. At some point they dropped the black stripe between colors and along the bottom of the windows and changed the lettering from silver to yellow
Des Plaines Hobbies makes kits for the C&NW streamlined coaches and parlor cars in N scale.
