I notice that BLI has some E7’s that are from my era. No CNW though. Would BN or CB&Q be roughly prototypical?

What exactly do you mean? If your wondering if you could prototypically use a BN or CBQ E7 on a C&NW train, I would have to say no, I have never heard that that ever happened. Also BLI did do C&NW E7’s if thats what you mean.
