Does anyone know if C&O painted any of their GP7s, especially ones without dynamic brakes, in the large “C&O” logo? I can only remember GP9s with dynamic brakes in this scheme.

Yes, definitely some of them were painted that way. Unfortunately, my source of C&O locomotive information (The Chesapeake & Ohio Diesel Review, author unknown [;)]), doesn’t have any pictures of a unit painted this way. It does, however, have a shot or two of GP7s with dynamic brakes in this paint scheme, which would have been applied from roughly 1965 through 1972, when the Chessie System paint scheme was adopted.
