As a youngster using Lionel O guage, my one and only caboose was a Pennsylvania Caboose all in red with round windows. I am sorry but I cannot provide any other information. My question is – does anyone make this caboose in HO? (prefer ready to run).
Bowser
Did it look like this:

If so it’s a PRR N5c class caboose. A quick Walthers search turned up these results:
It appears that Bowser makes these in HO scale, but they’re only available in kit form and not very detailed. Some paint scheme’s are in stock at Walther right now. (Click for link to search)
Hope this helps,
Jamie
The N5c was also done in brass by at least three companies, Alco, Precision Scale and Division Point. Expect to pay from $125 to $275, depending on manufacturer and condition. But they are really nice!

They are easy kits to build, with more detail than your Lionel O model, but less than state of the art today for HO.
Bowser is your best bet for HO…currently the N5c is only available as a kit.
Add the window kit, and a little paint and they turn out great
