Just hearing breaking news here that Caltrain has hit its second person of the day today. Not much news yet:
Update from KCBS AM 740. On the radio they are saying that apparently the first was a suicide, and the second one was someone trying to take a short cut across the tracks.

Two Fatal Crashes Stall Caltrain Service
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (KCBS) – Two separate crashes on Caltrain delayed service throughout the morning and afternoon.
Caltrain was running about 20 minutes behind schedule after a pedestrian was killed by the train during the morning commute.
A second pedestrian was struck just before noon in Redwood City, said Caltrain spokesman Jonah Weinberg.
Witnesses said the man was apparently trying to take a short cut, and managed to cross over a creek near Whipple Avenue to get behind the fenced-off train tracks.
“Unfortunately this is slowing things down. We hoped this was going to be a really fun day for the start of the baseball season,” Weinburg told KCBS reporter Mike Colgan.
Trains filled with baseball fans headed to AT&T Park in San Francisco were single-tracked through the area.
Normal service was restored by 1:30 p.m.
