Not sure about finding pics from that exact loco, but there shouldn’t be much of any difference between any of the particular SD40-2Ws.
Here’s a shot of the control stand in 5281:
5289:
Here’s 5293, with a slightly better overall view:
Found those photos my doing a search on railpictures.net, selecting “Canadian National” for the road, and “In-Cab Photos” from the “Category” drop-down menu. There are quite a few more there, if you sift through.
When it comes to CN’s “comfort cabs”, there are basically two different interior designs. The SD40-2(W), GP40-2(W), GP38-2(W) and GP40-2L(W) all use a setup that has a traditional upright control stand on the engineer’s side, as pictured above, and a small desk on the conductor’s side. So if you find any photos from those locos, they will be close to identical to what you’re looking for.
By contrast, the C40-8M, C44-9WL, SD50F and SD60F all use a desktop control stand on the engineer’s side.
Here’s a shot of that setup, as seen in an SD60F (the GE versions are very similar, with some small differences):
Hope that helps!
Thanx.
