Canadian government approves funds for Confederation Line
Lots of funding announcements all across Canada just prior to the federal election being called. And of course the current party in power claims it is completely unrelated! After years of Cut, Cut, Cut, Delay, Delay, Delay, suddenly it was Christmas in July. The projects are often worthy, such as this one, and long overdue for senior support.
Plenty of money for the capitol city and Quebec, none for the hinterlands.
