I have lots of photos of the CPR P1 Mikados, but no drawings. Anyone know where I could find some? Thanks!
Drawings are available throught the

These are for the most part one page drawings.
The group called Ontario Society of HO Model Engineers (OSHOME) produced collections of scaled drawings of various Canadian steam locomotives.
I’m not sure if the group is still around, but they’ve never had any sort of Internet visibility.
Thanks Don! I had looked at the site before but never realized how useful some of these drawings are.
Too bad there isn’t an erecting card for the P1 but at least there are plenty of drawings of the frame, flat-pattern boiler sheets and many detail parts. Very helpful.
I’ll see if I can find a source for the OSHOME drawings. Canadian Railway Modeller magazine has some I think.
There are a few one page drawings of complete steamers if you search for them.
Hey Don,
I was looking for a specific class of Mikado, the P1a thru P1e, and didn’t see it. I’ll check again to make sure. If you can see it and I can’t, send me the link if you don’t mind.
Maybe the later P1n is in there… might be very similar.
I do have the drawing from Omer Lavalee’s diagram book, and it at least has general dimensions so I can probably piece it together eventually.
I’m probably about the 10 millionth steam fan to say this about [insert your favorite RR here], but geez, why didn’t CPR save just one of these dang things!
Thanks,
Patrick
