Word on the INRD Y!Group is that CP kinda dropped the ball on getting all their trains out of the Latta Sub before INRD took over.

“Latta Sub” is now “Chicago Sub”. “Latta Yard” is now “Hiawatha Yard”.

Oh, and for those of you on or near CP near Chicago, be sure to look for INRD locomotives – part of the sale agreement includes using INRD power on one of the trains!

The latest issue of Railway Age mentioned something about the sale of CP’s “Latte” Subdivision.

I wonder what they were drinking! (And when.)

How soon before CSX steps-in and does away with INRD? Management exodus has begun from what I’m hearing.

Well, I hope you B wrong!

Tom Hoback, founder and CMFWAIC of the Indiana, knows what he’s doing. (I worked with him at the old ICG)

He’s got a strong manufacturing base to serve (Refrigerators, candy, etc.). And with all these imports, they B beggin’ for loads to the east and west coasts to keep the containers loaded in both directions. He’s got those loads online and if he’s into Chicago, he’s got it made.

In Chicago the wonderful BNSF just “loads 'em up and moves 'em out” westerly bound.

Too small for the CP to deal with. (It’s called “descrepancy of size” in business school lingo.) But the Indiana has the potential to develop this business out the wazoo.

Lookin’ for something good to happen here. Big Time!
