Carroll, IA Depot

It’s now the Chamber of Commerce, but still a great building. If I get better at scratchbuilding, this would be a great project

That depot reminds me of the old Katy Depot in Sedalia, MO–very near where I live. This is not a great photo of it, but you can get the idea.

If you are interested in old depots and what they are used for today, check out this thread. It is one I started some time ago and revive from time to time.

Thanks for the link. I’ll check it out. I’ve actually been through Sedalia, MO, but never saw the depot. Thanks again!

Checked out the thread and already found out the another RR museum not 2 hours from me! Thanks again!

I know the Atlantic, IA Rock Island depot is a Chamber of Commerce like the one in Carroll. And the Rock Island depot in Council Bluffs, IA is a museum and house’s a club HO layout of the CB/Omaha area. CB also has the UP museum set up in the old city library.

The old deopt is off the beaten path nowadays. It sits on 3rd Street just East of downtown–about 5 blocks south ouf US HWY 50 (the main E-W drag through town).
