CB&Q E-5 “Names”

I am modeling a CB&Q E-5A/B set assigned/owned by the Colorado and Southern? What were the engine numbers and the Names assigned to these locomotives? I have some cursory information that they were assigned the 9950-series.

Thx,

RicZ

Other units were renumbered and transfered to C&S in later years:

Thanks for the quick response. Did C&S have another E-5 set, ie, 9951, etc?

Yes, the second link in my reply above provides additional information re:

9951-A “Silver Speed”, E5A, was built by Electro-Motive on February 19, 1940, #967, FN E278-A1, as Chicago Burlington & Quincy 9910-A “Silver Speed”. It was transferred as C&S 9951-A “Silver Speed” on July 14, 1955, and the name was removed later. It was traded in to Electro-Motive in October 1967.

Good Luck, Ed
