Isn’t it neat how suprises like this relic is being discovered and and Tri-Met has the vision to see that this artifact is preserved and not merely thrown into the dumpster?

The Northwestern Pacific Railroad Historical Society (nwprrhs.org) Has an 1869 Centeral pacific passenger car #29 built in 1869 that it plans to restore. the car was formerly used on the Northwestern Pacific railroad and then was made into a house. The house owner donated the car to to the NWPRRHS and the group is restoring the passenger car.
