Check out this picture. Brand new BNSF NEW LOGO ES44DC #7761 at Naperville, IL!

Jimitrain, if “H3” is the warbonnet BNSF that preceded the corporate-mandated “Swoosh”? If so, then I’m with you.

Regardless, your photo of the new BNSF was great–you should really consider submitting it.

Do you happen to know how that train was sent west-- Thru Rochelle, or thru Mendota, or some other way?

If you like to talk, give me a call. I live in Rogers Park and am in white pages.

I finaly saw a Northbound BNSF Coal Train at Fremont today, but no new logo[:(].
The Power was AC4400CW,ES44AC CTE, and a SD70MAC DPU.
I WANT TO SEE A NEWER LOGO. Oh well better luck next time.
But at least I finaly got to see a BNSF Train[^].

Atleast you saw it, I got to Naperville in the afternoon. I have been waiting forever to see that unit. It passes through Rochelle quite often, and that is a branch of the BNSF Fast Track, the line that Naperville is on.

I can’t say I’m a huge BNSF fan, but yes… That one on the 70 is probably my favorite.

I spent about five hours at Eola yard today (and I have the sunburn to prove it) hoping to see one of these new paint schemes, but NO SOAP! Well, I will keep on trying until I succeed.

Hey Eolafan - where do you camp out at the Eola yard? Just curious - I’ve been through there before but struggled to find a great railfanning spot. Feel free to email me privately if you don’t want to advertise…

A good spot to fan - at least the last time I was there was at Mc Clure Rd. Its at the West end of the Eola Yard, near the yard office. There space to park and a public grade crossing to photograph trains. Not a super-photogenic spot, but open and legal.

Thanks dblstack. [:)] I’d have to say I liked the Burlington Northern Santa Fe better than the BNSF Railway. The Race Track already changed their Metra schedules to BNSF Railway.

Thanks Allen. [:)] A lot of people call the New Logo the Swoosh Logo. I’d say they sent it west through both Rochelle and Mendota.

I also really like the SD70MAC’s. They sound very nice when they throttle up and I really like their horns. I wonder what they will look like in the NEW LOGO H3 paint. That’d look awesome!
