Check out this picture. Brand new BNSF NEW LOGO ES44DC #7761 at Naperville, IL!

I was out railfanning in Naperville, IL yesterday. Main 2 got the green. An intermodal rounded the corner with a sparkling BNSF NEW LOGO ES44DC #7761 on the point! The other engines were a BNSF H2 ES44DC and a CSX YN2 AC4400CW. We got a lot of waves and honks as he went by. That made my day, seeing the New Logo! It sure was beautiful. [:)] Heads up to everyone is Portland, this train is heading to Portland right now or is already there. The train ID was Z-CHCPTL. Here is a picture of the sparkling New Logo:

Thanks, Allan! [:)]

What is everyone’s favorite BNSF Paint Scheme? H1, H2, or H3 You can also pick BN and Santa Fe colors.

I like H1, H3 and BN and Santa Fe paint the best. [:)]

Nice… I figured if they started showing up anywhere routinely, it would probably be the race track. Sometimes I really miss that area. I’d like to see what antennas they have mounted under those domes.

Great shot!

Thanks Grande Man. [:)]

Nice photo! But I wonder if this sheme is being experimented or it’s BNSF’s new logo?
I guess check the BNSF website…they might have info there.

No experiment, this is THE ONE!

Awesome picture!! I have been looking forward to the new design for a while.

I like all of the Schemes. I just don’t like the Stupid Patched ones. A Red & Sylver C40-8W with the BNSF patch looks so stupid!

Extreme jealousy lurks in the heart of this Naperville resident who was in downtown Chicago working on such a gorgeous day and hasn’t even spotted a glimpse of an Evolution unit from the Metra expresses yet!

Great shot!

What was the camera & set-up?

Thanks, guys! [:)] I was using a Kodak DX6490. I used an aperture speed of F4.50, and a shutter speed of 1/750 sec. ISO Speed 80.

Good looking unit, I’m not crazy about the logo but I wanna see one for myself.

Of the major RRs I think BNSF Has about the 3 or 4 best.color schemes, starting w/ the Warbonnet up to the latest.

Nice photo, but I think that the BNSF came up way short with the new logo.

In an official press release, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway officially changed its name to BNSF Railway. (kinda like CSX.) Basically got rid of the words behind the acronym. Seems everybody is running from their heritage. Kinda sad really.

Not only that like the Union Pacific Railroad. I think that UP would be better as UP Railway instead of Union Pacific Railroad. “UP Railway” sounds kind of neat.

BNSF Railway.
CSXT Railway.
NS Railway.
UP Railway.
