What a day it was up there. I didn’t get “walked” over the bad spot till 130. some 7.5hrs after we stopped. MofW was hard at it last night though putting things back together.
I can certainly understand why PATH doesn’t want people taking pictures of their trains. Wow, they are ugly, at least the picture on P. 11 of the August issue makes them look that way.
Although I don’t live in Chicagoland,my understanding is that the McHenry Sub splits at Crystal Lake and heads north to Richmond–why would Metra shut down the ENTIRE line just because of a washout that doesn’t affect the mainline to Harvard? I’m guessing the washout was somewhere between Crystal Lake and McHenry but still,from OTC to Harvard TOTALLY shut down? Huh?
