cleaning out Dads garage

My sister and I are going thru my fathers garage. He has had a stroke and can’t communicate so we at a loss as to what we have. He has several trains on a shelf. One is an engine that I remember him saying is live steam. behind it is a car that says santa fee 3771 on it. I think they are about a 9" to a foot tall. He also has an engine that looks like it might be brass. Any Ideas?

If you have access to a digital camera, you could post pictures for all to see. Also, look for manufacturers names on the pieces themselves.

That “car” sounds like the tender to the engine. If they’re about a foot tall, sounds like they’re 3/4 " scale. The most likely manufacturer is Little Engines: http://www.littleengines.com/

If the other engine is that size and looks brass, it’s probably not brass, but bronze.

As someone else said, if you’ve got a digital camera, post pictures.
