CLOSED////////The Coffee Pot is still on and over 3 years. Here we gather as friends with trains.

I stopped at the store this afternoon to check on what days I’m needed this week and Lewis told me the first shipment from the 2007 Lionel catalogue is scheduled for delivery on Monday. The majority will probably be track and that sort of stuff but Christmas and starter sets are also expected. I watch the store Thurs., Fri., & Sat. this week I’ll check out what’s new and let y’all know if anything exciting showed up.

Good evening all,

Roger, Does the boss go to York? If so I guess you will be working most of the week after next as well.

Just finished running trains with the 4 & 6 year old granddaughters, or rather they just finished running trains. After running the MTH 4-6-0 got to tame the 4 year old wanted to run the buddy (which is converted to TMCC). That was a little nerve racking for Pop-pop as it goes like a bat out of you know where. She didn’t derail it but really had it moving, glad I won’t have to give her driving lessons in another 12 years. [:)]

Sounds like everyone is looking forward to an enjoyable Easter. We got a preview of the ham this evening as Jean prebaked it today along with some of the deserts to take to Son’s place tomorrow for the family Easter dinner.

I spent most of the day today transplanting seedlings in the greenhouse and putting the geraniums in 4" pots, which is the second transplant for them.

Got my L&NE A-B-A FA-1 (Williams) from Marty the other day. Looks great, guess I will test run it in conventional, but the intent is to pick up TMCC for it at York. Also got a power conversion kit to power the B unit. Plan is to put the electronics in the dummy A and run it in the forward position as I do my similar Reading A-A set. That way I will have room for a crew in the cab and a high intensitity headlight.

Have a great Easter.

Evening all. Sit in livingroom on laptop with wireless. Can watch TV and type on forum. REBS, I can now monitor Yanks all the time. [}:)][(-D] Waiting for that to make his “move”. Pam thinks we will get the call tonight and she will hit the road to Wilmington.

Went to Miss Edna’s. Seemed good to see the guys. Paid for two more 072 switches. Wanted both in right hand ones. She had only one in stock but lots of lefts. She is ordering me another and I will pick it up later. Nice we can trust each other. Going to add another crossover from one mainline to the other.

Later [Remember Yanks, the eyes of the South are on you.]

CHIEF, YOU"LL still fall asleep with the TV on and the laptop on. Somethings never change.

Ran trains tonite for 2hrs all good. No pile ups.

All have a good nite and Happy Easter.

Chief, we get a little cool temps down here, they get a foot of snow and they think THEY GOT US? I don’t think so. Sounds more like Kevin got them! Anyway, hope everyone has a blessed Easter. Our two hunted eggs today and we had a nice dinner at FIL’s. Will be running cameras for Easter services.
Dennis

But, we are way UP here, looking down on you guys !! [(-D][(-D][(-D] Somehow that may not sound right !! [%-)]

Well, at least pass the popcorn, Chief !!

Thanks, John

Hello All! Tom- Thanks for posting the photo of my new train. I like the Trainsounds as it sounds neat & is not erratic. However, The Gear on the Armature Shaft is causing some havoc while running & I’ll take the engine back to the Trading Post for a repair or exchange when I have a chance to as it is still under Warranty. Jim will make it good for me as he has a direct account with Lionel. Brent- I sent an e-mail to you about a 1688. Let me know here if it came through for you as the forum software can be tricky here. In short, I’ll look for a 1688 for you. let me know if you want it in Gunmetal or Black. Talked to Jim A on the phone today & I have a 1688E here that I’ll have restored for him also. Chief- The Eyes of the 800lb Bear from the North are on you also![;)][8D][:o)] Take Care all

Keith,
No email… sent you another…

Either would be fine with me… the gun metal has a certain charm to it, but the black would look nice with the FiL’s 262E.

Brent

Hello Brent- Since you’re here on the Coffee Pot now I’ll let you know that 1688s usually are in the neighborhood of $75.00-$125.00 for a Engine/Tender combo & would you like it restored or original? & keep in mind that Don Baker & Jim A are having 1688Es restored also & It’ll take some time. Will keep an eye out for you though. Take Care.

Keith,
The price is fine, and restored would be preferred… I’m not in the market right now, it will be 2 - 3 months before I could get it (really want to be in the new house)… you should have my email so keep me posted.

Brent

Howdy guys and Happy Eastereve. I am beat, pete. A buddy is putting in a brick patio out back. Today, he and I picked up a yard (27 cubic feet) of 1 inch minus gravel and a half yard of screenings or finings, which is about 2.25 tons of rock and sand. It took 3 trips to the landscape yard. We tried to back my little Chevy truck up his side yard as far as we could, but the grass was really wet, so we ended up parking in the street and moving it all with two wheelbarrows. Then we went to Home Depot and picked up about 50 pavers - still need another 15, but didn’t want to overload my truck. I guess we moved about 3000 pounds each!

Working from trainroom upstairs on wireless. Now I can watch Yanks from all over the place. Next, try garden. Too cold now. Goood night [morning].

I’m getting really worried !!!

The Chief is now mobile, and roaming around his spread with a wireless laptop, passing Havoc to the Nawth, with cold weather and grits raids. REMOTELY

The Nawtheners are throwing cold weather and snow stuff towards the south. Preparring their lawnmowers with snow blowers.

I don’t do well with snow, cold weather, or grits.

So I am calling for a TRUCE !!! (This should be an annual requirement anyway, this close to York! )

In the event that ANY partys are NOT willing to participate in serious negotiations I have contacted Dougdagrump, to enlist his support, in making arrangements for Condalice Rice to intercede immediately. (Remeber he is former military and has an entire Navy at his disposal)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter !

Evening (Morning??) all,

Cold and snowy here. We had our Easter Vigil service tonight, it was cold and windy which made for a challenge because the service starts outside with blessing Easter Fire and lights the Easter Candle and everyone has candles and processes inside. It was a long service, 3 1/2 hours, 1 baptism, 3 confirmations and 3 entering the Church, many readings, psalms and pagentry tonight. It was really something! Didn’t do anything with the trains again today, got to sleep sometime, maybe on the next day off. Did get the road in to the sawmill and started some detailing a day or so ago.

Youngest daughter in from Cincinnati and the oldest will come up so we’ll have the grandkids up in the afternoon, maybe run trains then.

On break at work and need to check on a few things, Have a blessed Easter!

Jim

0800BST in a sunny Stockport +3C, forecast is for +15C by 1300BST, warmest Easter on record. I think we must be getting your Southern weather here, going to Chatsworth House (the family seat of the Duke and Dutchess of Devonshire) today, it’s taken care of by the National Trust and has just reopened after the winter closure for maintenance. A walk around the vast gardens is shear magic.
Still waiting for the bank to tell me when and how much I can spend on Lionel.

Nick, rather a long way to go for the sun, you left it here at home.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill…

It is a cold, snowy 27 degrees. Going up to 39, today, with some more snow on the way. We covered up the flowers that are blooming.

Today, we have decided to stay home. The 300 mile trip is not looking good in this weather. We will have Easter here and make the best of it. Maybe, later, I can run some trains and relax. Hopefully, it will be a peaceful day. This weather has messed up a lot of people’s plans.

I hope all my Forum Friends have a Very Happy Easter.

Now, for the Dining Car and breakfast. Then, I will send it to …" Points West ".

Y’all have a Great Easter and Sunday.

Chuck

Good Moring All from NE Ohio

and

Happy Easter to all!

Chuck - I hope you are staying home today, we have about 6" of new snow from this morning and it is still falling. Many areas have around 24" today. Not a good day to be on the roads.

And the Chief is wireless??? Here I thought he was always wired to tight!

All be safe

tom

Happy Easter to everyone here too !!

Looks like Chuck will be watching the Indians Home Opener at home today. That’s if it goes on !!

Worked a lot last evening on making a video for today !! Did not come out like I wanted it to !!

Well, hope everyone has a nice Easter today !!

Thanks, John

Happy Easter from Buckeyeland,

where we have snow, blowing snow and a temperature of 28 degrees on this Sunday morning in January, February, March, April. Most of our peach crop has been destroyed according to all reports. Serious financial damage has taken place for many due to this prolonged cold.

Church this morning and then a big family gathering at a restaurant near the airport. Kids will stop over later. Do we start giving sleds to kids at Easter?

Yesterday, wife, who is still healing from arthroscopic surgery and I took a ride to the Hocking Hills of Ohio. The train at Nelsonville, Ohio was operating and there were many people in town.

Chuck, from what I hear, a trip to Cleveland would have been dicey

See ya down the tracks,

He arose!!!

Don B, I am former military and I was in missiles. Nuke warheads even. Watch out Nawth. [}:)]

Off to Church. Chilly here. Trains later. Grandson is not here yet. Told wife if he does not make it by midnight, deffinatley SIL’s son. SIL is never on time. [(-D]

Chat later.
