CN GE C40-8M (Dash 8-40CM) in N scale

Yeah this is a quick question. Has anyone made, or does anyone currently produce, an N scale model of CN’s C40-8M in a plastic model? Or any of CN’s fully cowled units like this one?

I think these are awesome looking locomotives, and would like to have a few for myself. If no one has done these, they ought to.[:p] Just for me.[:D] Yeah…Dream on…[:o)]

Kaslo shops has a upcoming project in the works for the Dash 8-40CM in n-scale. Visit the website and put down how many shells you are interested in.http://www.kasloshops.com/projects.htm I’m eagerly waiting for the final product for my BC rail layout. BC rail added on to the GE dash8 order for CN.

Kaslo shops also has the correct cabs for CNR/BCR on a Kato Dash 9-44C, also Shells for the full cowl draper taper CN SD-50F and CN SD-60F.

Kit# NL-3 CN SD-50F (5400 - 5459, 9900 - 9903) Locomotive Shell 75.00

aedave, maybe you can help me. The above is taken directly from the website you gave me. Is it $75.00 just for the shell??? Or is it a whole powered kit???

I believe it is the price for the shell only in Canadian dollars. A bit on the high side for a plastic shell but well worth the money.

Scott the Kaslo kits are polycarbonite resin. The detail is absolutley awsome. I’ve seen poorer brass units of these locomotives done in Brass for 10 times the price. They do offer powered kits but only in HO at the moment. Their caboose and freight car kits can’t be beat is well.

See ya
