CN GMD-1

Hi!

I’m currently building a complete diesel and freight roster for my Canadian National model train layout. I know that the CN as a few GMD1 diesel engine and I want to model one of these. Anyone know any manufacturer that as this
engine in is line-up? I didn’t find any. I’m also wondering what are the best paint number (Floquil, Testors) for the CN black, white and red scheme.

Thanks a lot!

Maybe try a SW1200 with a kitbashed short hood on a Geep frame?

Other than brass, there aren’t any plastic GMD-1s. Kaslo Shops in B.C. offer a powered resin kit for the model, check this page on their website:

http://www.kasloshops.com/point1models.htm

They aren’t cheap - up to Cdn $425.00 each complete, other variations are less. Kaslo makes very good resin models, almost equal plastic models, they are so fine. Some kits come with etched stainless steel parts.

Floquil has paint numbers for CN’s orange; black is black, and white is white.
