CN Green and Yellow Livery

Can you tell me is there a Polly Scale paint that will give me the matching Green for the old Canadian National Green and Yellow Livery? If there isn’t a specific colour that matches, might someone know a formula for mixing a matching green.

The Yellow will come from Microscale’s Decals of that era.

Thanks in Advance,
Trevor

You may njever get a perfect ‘match’ due to what color the model plastic is, but here are a couple of sources:

Floquil

CN Yellow B-110254
CN Green B-110256

Modelflex

CN Green 16164
CN Yellow 16166

I think the CN SIG had some paint made to their specs. Not sure where to find them, but CARM might have a lead. Or next weekend’s flea market at Humber College.

The CN SIG paints are made by ScaleCoat. Most good hobby shops in Canada will carry these special paints.

Hi TrevorG… I am also Trevor G(ibbs)… web site www.xdford.digitalzones.com and an interest in CN so thought I was seeing things…

Kind Regards

Trevor

I agree with cmurray - these paints are VERY specific matches for most of the Canadian Roads - in fact I think they were commisioned to create these.
I’ve had a few custom painted by members of various forums using this stuff - as well I’ve handpainted a few inconspicuous projects myself.
I’ve always been a fan of the green and gold

1train1,
I want to do exactly what you’ve done, ie paint my fleet in the old CN livery. I love seeing the modern loco in the colour scheme. It looks even better than I imagined it would!

Also, thanks to everyone for all the information. That’s exactly what I need. I’m sure George’s Trains in Toronto will have them.
