CN Question

Why do they call the CN logo the Wet Noodle? Thanks for the help

DOGGY

Because if you like to play with your food, and had a wet noodle that was long enough, you could bend it into the shape of the CN logo.

Bon appetit!

Thank You for the Idea I’ll try it someday.

CN’s subsidiaries all had wet noodles too, at one time – some of them were rather fanciful!

the “Wet Noodle” was voted best logo in the world. I’m not sure where I read this, but probably the CN site: http://www.cn.ca They have (or had) a bunch of information on the background and history of all of their logos

I bent my wet noodle into the shape of a Doggy!! LOL!!

LC

LC,
Nice Joke LOL!!!

It’s supposed to represent the continuity of the train tracks.

The whole noodle is one piece.

I remember seeing a few Grand Trunk locomotives and their logo was a wet noodle only it made a GT.

It isn’t easy finding those T-shaped noodles!

Notice they gave up completely when it came to “DW&P”.

I think that the Central Vermont ( CV ) logo was another CN subsidiary wet noodle logo.

If you launch this link and then scroll down a bit, you’ll see a photo of a locomotive (dark green geep - 2nd photo down on the left.) with the CV wet noodle logo. http://jan.ucc.nau.edu/~twp/layout.html

I’ve heard the CN noodle logo referred to as the “lazy 3” (look at it sideways…)

I try really hard not to bend my noodle…takes the fun out of it.

Ed…

Not of course that Texans would ever need something like that…but they have medicine that helps non-Texans with these things…

DWP would hard for a wet noodle
