Coco Crisp still an Indian?

Yeah, I want a toy train night - first 10,000 get a free Big Boy  Great idea. Heard this morning Frank Thomas won’t be around for a while - healing slowly - I don’t think the Sox will miss him with all the guys capable of hitting 20 homers…

Jerry Coleman is the best. Best way to describe him. CLASS.

To bad all of baseball isn’t like him. I miss baseball before drugs, steroids, all business no more loyalty.

I would love to see all the fake homer guys, sosa, mcguire, bonds, have their records erased, or asteriked: used drugs to enhance.

Although bonds did hit for a tremendous average, and I don’t think the steroids helped that, he still cheated, therefore asterik record. Baseball should have cleaned up their act years ago. Best part of the Padres, they are so bad you know they didn’t use drugs to improve. [:D]

Defination of a true Padre fan ? We don’t come close to winning the division, but we beat the Dodgers more than they beat us.= winning season.

Hope the Sox beat the Yanks again this year. And Go Twins. Best little team in sports. No money, bad owners, yet they win, win, win. Kind of like the New England Patriots.

Tim (love baseball the sport, just not the direction)

What ever happened to Rocky Colavito? He was my favorite Indian.

Got traded, like all the great INDIANS.
But this year its goin to be different.
GO TRIBE IN '05

Hey Laz tribe may not win, but what a cool stadium. How is the food ?

Tim

TUROTIM I haven’t been there yet. The time I was there they were out of town. Maybe this year I will make it out there and have a SUMMIT meeting at TOMS. The old stadium was great. Big place lots of seats to see the game. Changed seats after every half inning so you can get the feeling from a different view. Nobody was there back then so you could do this.
laz57

Sounds like the old Padres days. Pay for the cheap seats, and then sit in the box seats. As a kid, it was cool. New stadium is great, but boy are the prices different.

Tim

The seat changing is a thing of the past. With most of the lower box seats sold out, they check you ticket stubs every time you return to your seats. The new Jack is great, I have been in the lower box, upper noise bleed and even in the special rooms. Just wi***he pricing was lower.

guys dont leave us out

Another White Sox fan checking in here!

This year looks promising, better than most.
I like Evis night,
Dog night,
1/2 price Mon.
Sat. night fireworks
The food
The view
The Hall of Fame
And of course a Sox WIN!

I’ll see your Twinkies and Indies on the field!

Go Pat Go. I can’t wait - hearing the Barry Bonds’ press conference was saddening. He’s one deluded dude - blaming the media for making a big deal of the steroids mess- won’t take questions about anything.

Your right Doug. I miss when baseball was about baseball.

Tim

Talk about perfect timing, it was announced yesterday that Jerry Coleman is going into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame. [^]

OK HERE WE GO AGAIN

If you already hated Barry, the press conference didn’t help. On the other hand, he raises a good point: steroids don’t help hand-eye coordination. The power may have been enhanced over the last couple years, but no one can hit like that guy. It is nearly impossible to get him to miss a pitch. That’s not steroids. And now with Alou behind him in the lineup, he might actually get more to hit.

If I lived in San Diego, I would be excited about how bad the Dodgers will be. Actually, I live in San Franicsco, and I am excited about how bad the Dodgers will be.

Anyone but LA!

It’s obvious that the Mariners wern’t taking steroids last season. They really stunk up the place[:(].I lived in Portland for a few years, and became a Mariners fan up there.
Mariners all the way in 2005[:D].

Yes you are right about Barry Bonds that it (the steroids) doesn’t help hand eye coordination. But if you are a regular baseball player you already have those traits otherwise you aren’t going to be very good at the game. He has played the game ever since he was probably 5 years old, so he has hand eye coordination. What the steriods do is enhace his power of instead of a routine fly ball that same ball now has a little more bat speed to carry out of the park. As far as I’m concerned Hank Aaron is still and will be the king of home runs. Bary will always be an *.

Lets Go Twins, Im from Rochester NY and we field the Triple A team for the twins, best move Rochester made in years, to dump the Orioles and become the farm team for the twins. I love that MLB package, I can watch the twins instead of having to be stuck watching the yankees and mets. Looking foward to a couple road trips up to Cleveland to see the twins play. Been doing this for the past 3 years. Great ballpark to watch a game in.
And to make this train related, our ballpark in Rochester serves two purposes. You can watch a ballgame, and also watch the trains from CSX go by. The mainline can be seen past the outfield.

[#welcome] danguarddog, good to see a twins fan here. They are my favorite AL team. No money, bad owners, bad support, and yet they keep winning. Wi***he Padres could figure out how to win on a budget.

Instead of talking about all these new steroid guys, I miss the Harmon Killebrews, the Jim Kaats, The Tony Oliva’s, those were ball players.

Hope you learn a lot here, ask lots of questions.

Also cool how you tied in baseball, just like they did in Brewsters millions with the train. That was cool.

By the way does anyone here know who hit the longest homerun ever ?

Tim

I think it was the Mick, over 600ft!
