Temp is 30, with sun. Not gonna be like yesterdays 60.
April 1st was my sisters birthday.(1941/1998) She went through a lot of foolishness every year but got used to it. At least no one in the family forgot when it was. I have been out for a hair cut and yes Chief I had both of them trimmed. Also filled the car with gas. It came out to 26 MPG, I can live with that…Happy April Fools Day…S.J.

Hope everyone had a good Easter! Everyone was home for the holiday except my son who is overseas. We had a great time! It does seem as if Spring is finally here in NW Missouri!

Spent the day cutting more wood to length and general clean up. Now to relax a bit and get ready for class. Auto Body 2 tonight.

Went down into the train room and started cleaning up some more and came across the 397 coal loader went to put it up and said hmmm let me take this apart and clean it. Man there was a ton of grease down in the bottom where the gears where but I believe the wrong type it reminded me of the red grease we used to pack wheel barrings but this was almost black and sticky so probably was just old. cleaned it all out cleaned the armature and all put it back together( will reapply grease where needed and oil when I replace the belt thats not there as it disintegrate the other night while playing with it) any way it is now running and running good.
one less thing to worry about now not sure if I’m going to keep and use or not. I do have the N&W opperating coal hopper and plenty of hoppers and gondola’s
My first post on the April pot, and it’s only April 1! I think I mentioned that I am selling some (why did I ever buy that stuff) on the bay. First item went for a lot more than my “buy it now price” looking good. First I’ve sold anything there in years. Hope to thin things out to the point where I can run everything I have occasionally. Have a great April, I think Spring is about here.

So wife and I get back from a nice sit down lunch and the grocery shopping and I back the truck up to the house garage and we unload it. A bit later wifey tells me she is going to get gas for her car. She comes in and asked me if I can move the truck out of the way, I say sure and move it into the shed. She comes out and is looking at the back of the truck and said I hit your truck! April fools right. [(-D] Wrong she did hit my truck but in the trailer hitch so it is cool, but then I look at her car. Silverado 1 Torrent 0, [:O] [:(] [8o|] [:S] [banghead] [#dots] [oops] [:'(]. Oh well so much for that, the car did not fair too well. I will need to get an estiment later this week. [+o(]

The 397 is one of my favorites, and I liked it even more once I got a 456 ramp to go with it.

I am trying to move some stuff out too. Mainly, these pieces were impulse buys that have spent their time with me on shelves.
Spent tonight going through a Flyer SIT 312 steamer to be sure everything checks out before I attempt to move it out.
