(Sorry dis is early, had stuff to do got to be goin)
Neddles ??? Hmmm, Sorry Pam, not a cat person. here. I think they sense that also, when I come around they leave. (Which works for me.)
Had a great day! Planned out a G-Scale layout for the backyard. Going to put a “Dog-Bone” in approx. 25 feet long. Already have the track, 3 buildings, and 2 trains, all in storage boxes. So this will be interesting. Stage 1 - Prepare road bed. Going to dig a trench then use Pressure Treated 2x4 for track foundation. And attach track to the 2x4.
Hope everyone has a great day!.
By the way, didn’t pot number 6 get started a day early?? June 1 is Wed. I think. NO PROBLEM, WORKS FOR ME.
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 90s again. Two maybe three more trips to dad’s place and all the stuff will be out of dad’s place that we are interested in. Lucas and one daughter still have some have furniture, but that is a weekend/storage deal. We are closing in on the end, and that is a relief. Taped the Victory Dinner and will watch it later so no comments for now. TBIL and I can drive. I hope everyone has a good day.
72 here to get HOT HOT HOT AGAIN to 94. Had to water tomatoes last nite they started to wilt, even with all da rain we got this spring. Ran 4.5 miles with my new gal MINNIE felt great, but boy was I a sweaten.
TRAINDOOD, THE MOUNTIANMEN with CHUCK HESTON and BRIAN KEITH is another classic.
Aloha. Argh! The furballs are everywhere! [:D] Looks like a nice sunny, warm busy Monday, I mean Tues, Isn’t it still May? [:S]. Ran trains last night. Considered how I might make an ‘Ivor the Engine’ out of a Percy.
Has anybody moved a few cats before? Meow, hiss, hiss!!![B)] [:D]
Moving day will probally be friday or saturday, depends on if the rental agreement goes through and if I feel like moving on friday. Needless to say train layout coming down!! Biggest pain will be the upper level tracks to take down. Also have a p.w. Z & ZW to move, along with a KW. I have a car and small 4 ft. by 8 ft. trailer, so we will try not to rent a truck.
Getting rid of financial money pit!! It seems the more we put in the less we get out, and now the county may come after us for things not done in the past, like permits & C.O. Also Florida’s homeowner’s insurance going up by 15%, and possibly getting rid of Citizens Insurance Company which is state run. So between the county and the insurance, and loss of income we can’t afford to stay!!
82/94 today, which will be bring storms toward evening. Just finished cutting the grass, what use to be just a chore is now an exhausting job. Send those puddy tats here, we got wabbitts living under the neighbor’s porch but come here during the night to dine. They would have been long gone but we can’t shoot inside city limits. Enjoy your Monday/Tuesday, last day of May/June 1st…S.J.
Thingie is running late - kids are on Summer clock and I lost track of time. Lucky we have that way-back circuit Laz and Mike rigged up for us. Sub-Bob fine tuned it and RT found the parts we needed. Don’s neighbor was inspirational as well We did find a bag of grits gumming up the works, but Dr. Dennis was able to remove that without any contamination. Everybody run your beacons and we’ll come get you and then go back to get the famous banilla and goodies. Pat can drive and Jack and I can sit and talk with my Dad for a while. Just don’t bring up politics! This Coffee Pot is about the only place I go every single day on the web and I feel I have made some real friends here. I know I left a lot off that list like the Dougs, the Franks, a Bill, some Jims, some Johns, Wes, two Bruces, Chuck, Jon, Ray, Roy, and others who have been and gone, or even come back after a while. Don’t forget Mysty, Penny, and some others. What ever happened to that guy from the Netherlands, I wonder? We also miss Reggie and the guy from Alaska, who apparently left the door open late into the year, this year! Dr. John, Spankybird, it’s just too many! I think there are like 50 guys on here regularly, RT said - that sounds about right. Glad to know you all
Thanks especially to the veterans and their families!
Ms Pam, thanks for the news from the Kitty. I have heard of the cat’s meow or the cat’s pajamas but this is a new one on me. I had a cat once that lived about 20 years. They seem to say, “you can pet me but I won’t give you anything”. They are pretty independent. How about this one: While the Chief’s away, the cats will play.
Buckeye, how about showing us that picture at Grover’s Corner with you being presented with the grits.
Pat Penny is on the main forum very often “Penny Trains”
Lee just make sure you have them in pet carrying cages the plastic ones with metal doors you can get them at wal-mart or if lucky local goodwill might have a couple. I have moved my cats many times but the above mentioned is for there safety and your piece of mind as if there spooked and you open the door to get gas ect they may bolt.
Well got 3 of the 5 final bushes out 2 to go maybe tonight or tomorrow morning and they look to be the hardest to be done there trunk is bigger than the rest ( just noticed this, this morning) and there in the smallest area of dirt between the drive way and the house. the rest had like 1 1/2’ wide these only have about 9" for me to work in ugggg!! might meant dig the best I can and tie to rear of truck and give a yank and then maybe see roots so I can cut . we will see lol
Well its getting hot out there so I’;m back in the cool den probably will have to put the A/C in later. I put in and take out as I need it don’t trust it in the window over night or when not down here.
Brutus, Pat and the rest of the Pot, I agree with Pat and Brutus about the friendships that were formed here. This is the only forum or site that I visit almost daily and the common denominator is our love of our trains. My brother in law, AF53, Ray and I get a ribbing from the family about our involvement in the hobby and the forum and related activities, such as the Tardis. I love the way we tease each other and help one another when possible. A big thank you to CTT for letting us meet here.
**RT…**I am sure have you heard of the First Alert Home Security Systems. I have the Last Alert Home Security System. Unlike name brand, elaborate security systems costing thousands of dollars, the acquisition cost of a Last Alert Home Security System is quite reasonably priced. It does require some daily maintenance.
The system’s circuitry is quite complex, but it is a snap to install. It is available in three colors to go along with your interior decorating. It does not require a battery backup in the event of a power outage or some nefarious character cutting wires. It operates 24/7/365 and automatically protects your entire property, including all of your vehicles and outlying structures. If you forget to turn it on when leaving home, it automatically sets itself. If configured correctly, the base system serves as an integral part of your home entertainment systems.
What I particularly like about the Last Alert Home Security System is that it keeps unwanted and/or unexpected visitors and those pesky family members and friends from just dropping in unnanounced. If you are like me, you don’t trust those pizza delivery folks or Southern Pot members either.
If you set it up on the “unlimited zone” setting, it effectively chases off Canadian geese, moles and grounhogs, deer, the inconsiderate neighbors
Afternoon fellas and gals: Hey Jack; I have the same system with two daschaunds who think they are pit bulls! Also, for back up or ariel assault I installed twin 50 cal. machine guns on the roof for those pesky turkey buzzards! Wifey likes to pick off a few every now and then; keeps her reflexes sharp! We send them down south, rebs think they are butterballs! [(-D] The neighbors think it’s t.v. antenna! They told me I must get great reception with that fancy contraption! [:-^] Hey Laz: That was a good one. I forgot about that one, haven’ seen that flick in about 20 years. later.
