COFFEE POT for January 2018. Breakfast buffet. Eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, grits, hash browns, biscuits and sausage gravy.

Afternoon,

Roy, mine was the same, came down as fast as I could pump it up.

Well here is the jack I went with. $150.49 with tax at HF.

It is 1/2 ton bigger than my old one and I like it because it has the low profile, will lift 24", has the foot peddle and the T handle pump. Should out live me. Once weight is on it it is a bit hard to pump up but not that bad. And I was only lifting the gator so don’t know what it will be like with the front of a truck on it? [:^)]

Hey, Happy New Year, gonna be a quick fly by…

I’ll be leaving Nissan on Friday and taking a position with asTech in South Jersey. I’ll be doing 2 weeks training in ---- wait for it — Jacksonville, FL, where I used to live.

Then off to South Jersey for my employ. Should be an exciting time and the company is fair young, so hopefully, this will pay off in more ways than one.

Other than that, yeah freakin’ cold here was 4F at work and up to 26 right now…at least FLA USA is in the 60s…lol

Good afternoon all, I called my doctor’s office yesterday morning to find out they were closed until Wednesday. Decided to go to a new urgent care place near here. Waiting room was full of people. After a two hour wait, doctor saw me for two minutes and prescribed anti biotics. Confirmed that I have bronchitis and told me to see my regular doctor for follow up. I’m still felling sick today. Slept until 9:30. Had breafast at noon. Still have the cough which hurts. Hope the meds kick in soon. BTW, everybody in the waiting room was coughing. Must be a lot going around. Made some homemade bacon, egg and cheese bisquits for breakfast. Went down good. Have a good day.

Hey all,

Not much on the go. One of our bookcases let go in the middle of the night and scared the crap out of us. I think the Mrs. had waaay too much crammed on it.

Kev - When my old jack crapped out a few years ago, I bought a Torin “Big Red” 2.5 ton. It’s worked 10x better than my old one. A lot lower profile so it fits under my Camaro without pulling off the top piece, nice foot pedal “quick start” and it glides around a lot smoother as well.

Don - I’m actually in the process of going over today or tomorrow to change the pop-up drain in one of my parents vanities. My dad was noticing water at the base of the cabinet. It turned out the pop-up had rotted out. Might be worth a look…

Banks - The think the “medicine” you are looking for is Rye (whiskey) on the rocks. Just what the Dr. ordered!! It will kill those nasty flu bugs. [:D]

Ray - The breakfast sounds as good as Chiefs! Hopefully, that made you feel better.

Spank - That’s freaky weather! Fingers crossed…

Rich - All the best with the new job!

I think I’m going to make Shepherd’s Pie for the family for supper. Nice warm comfort food for a cold, miserable day.

Have a good one,

Rob

Guten abend,

For a Wednesday, today was quite busy. I guess it felt more hectic since I had four days off from work and the kids returned to school. As you can imagine, we are busy around the house prepping for the packers/movers who begin work on Monday. Our house is in total disarray but fortunately we move into a hotel this Saturday. It is about time for bed and I am exhausted.

Jim Phish - We have been in Germany for about 18 months. We were supposed to be here three years, but the AF changed its mind. [:'(]

Don - I hope everything works out.

Good night,

Joe

The jack issue is over with. They took it back and I got the one I thought I wanted in the first place. $50.00 more but three times the jack.

This is it.

Rob, I hate to say this but at my age I always think about it just has to out live my ability to use things. [(-D] Somneone will be happy with it when I am gone! [swg]

Good evening all,

Kevin, I see what you mean about favorites. There was a time when I might have known how to help you restore those, but again, those days are long gone. Almost made it to 20 today before it goes back in the freezer. At least it is dry and I do not have to drive tomorrow. Ugh…back to work. Only 2 days. Procedure for daughter is getting more drawn out each time she talks to the doctor. First, 6 days, 3 in and 3 outpatient. Now it is up to over a week. Not sure how wife and I are going to be able to help now. All options up to now involved end of week trips (Mondays or Fridays). Now…not so sure. Double UGH. Went to the see the P. T. Barnum flick today. Good musical, but not much plot (actually no plot at all). Unless you really really really like that type of show and/or that time period, pass on it. Some nice train scenes though. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Two days of interviews for County Food Security Program Manager. Yes, County has me on interview team.

24 degrees. Three hours ago, snow started as fine icy stuff. Now big flakes and all covered about 2 inches or more. Still snowing.

Took this about the time it started [Wiley the Yorkie playing in it].

Goodnight

Good Evening,

Thought I would provide an update regarding the leak. I am really very fortunate, turns out the washer behind the tub overflow was the problem. Took about 15 minutes and done. Did get the flashlight too, that took over an hour.

Sure hope the weather isn’t as bad as being forecasted.

Kev, I feel your pain with the computer issues. At one time I was on the leading edge, but now barely get along with the computer. And all the high tech stuff, even the trains can really be frustrating. Hope the septic system works out.

Spanky, Thanks for the explanation on the bomb-cyclone, sure hope it stays out to sea.

Doug, You sure were right thought alot about last Christmas and the layout. BTW, the aunt I visited in Rockford, fell in September, Didn’t get hurt very bad, but my cousins in Washington convinced her to move out there with them. Which is really a great thing.

Roy, Sorry to hear your still not feeling up to power yet. Hopefully it wont be long.

Anjdevil, Congrats on the new position, hope you stay warm.

Ray, Sorry to hear your feeling down. Hopefully will see you at the next TCA show in Arcadia.

Rob, Homemade Shepherds Pie sounds great, thanks for the tip on the plumbind.

Joe, So is the family happy to be coming back to the states?

Mike C, Hope everything is going well with your daughter. We just saw “All the Money in the World” It was pretty good.oing to call it a day, hope ev

Mornin’ all!

Waiting on the snow, still isn’t coming down here in Wayne. Definitely not driving today. Looks like they bumped the snow fall maps since midnight.

okx
phi

Friggin’ Wayne didn’t bother to close the schools until this morning, only had set a delayed opening as of midnight last night. Every other school in Wayne had already closed as of 9 last night, but the township decided to wait until this morning. Morons. The only reason I’m up is the house phone and my cell phone went off at 6.

Stay safe those of you in the path of this storm!

Mornin’ boys. Cloudy and 20, which is probably our high today, along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Seems like the storm stayed east of Brent. Odd to see snow in eastern Carolina. So far, the DelMarVa penninsula has been in the bullseye of every big snow this season.

I spent yesterday outside, taking down decorations, nailing down a fallen roof peak cover, getting a few more bags of wood pellets, and replacing a burnt out bulb on the Durango. Man, headlamps have gone a long way in my 36 years of driving.

Today is an inside kinda day. Will be working on a financial overview on a RR project. Wifey “might” help…

Morning all. Not a lot going on here.

Talking financial Fife , I sure hope they get off the tails and get the federal budget passed soon as thats my total income. That’s holding me up from getting some repairs done to the house that need to be done.

Oh well never ending. No train news for today. Did get a Menards Mystery box in yesterday. It had proto type in it for Sally’s restoration building. Didn’t have her Shelby’s in it but did have 2 of Menards panel vans in it. So thats cool. I have plenty of cars I can add to it.

23* this am going up to 38* today

Hope all have a good day. Talk to you all later

Thur. 75/45 Fri. 74/49 Sat. 72/49

I have had a bad cold since Christmas and am tired of it, I had a light flu for the 1st week

A lot of posts. I have light low cars and have gone through 6 of those small trolley jacks over a long time. I tried to fix one but coulden’t figure what to do.

Morning. 35 degrees but the temp thingy is in the sun. Wind chill is horrible. Fired up the snow blower [broom] early. May have had an inch of soft fluffy stuff. Easy to sweep. Street in front of house clear as DOT plowed last night right after it quit snowing.

Going to Town Hall in a few.

Hope all up the east coast stays warm and safe. Snow hurricane for them.

Later.

Well, Hey!!

Snowmageddon!!! Took me an hour to get here and that was without the traffic!!

Some people shouldn’t drive in the snow…

As much as I hate Jacksonville, right now it looks ok…

Got the preliminary papaerwork completed, just have to look at the medical and all that and I’m done.

4" and climbing - wind is kicking this up pretty good as well. Driving home should be a blast…[(-D] [banghead]

Rich, be safe driving home. Traffic looks like a real bear out there.

Hello There,

Gettin the back side of the Jersey boys storm. Gusty cold wind has moved from northwest to straight from the north. One minute sun, the next white out with little accumulation. Temp is falling. 7 tonight 9 for a high tomorrow.

Rose to 25 yesterday PM. Felt like a heat wave. Finished getting coal in without gettiing winded and got all the ashes out of both houses. Shouldn’t have to deal with ashes for 2 weeks.

Working on getting Mom hooked up with Medicaid. Funds are almost depleted.

RT…I wouldn’t worry to much. Even if they shut down you’ll get it sooner or later. PA did it awhile back (years) and the banks gave state employees low /no interest loans

All you on the east coast be careful.

Rich…Safe trip to Jacksonville. From what I saw on the Weather Channel it’s cold there too.

Gotta Run

Prayers for those in need

Roy, If you know the model number of your old jack go here and look for the kit.
