I assume they looked at the 169 in Alamosa and decided the 168 was in better shape for restoration?
Engine 168 will end the “Mikado monopoly” on the C&T.
I watched them load her up on the rig that is hauling her to Antonito. What a sight to see the wheels and rods move. I look forward to seeing her run under steam!
Always like the appearance of 168 and 169. When I lived in Colorado in the '80s 168 was well-maintained and looked beautiful, complete with illuminated running lights at night. Glad to see this restoration.
