Con Cor Electroliner

Just got mine and everything is what it chumps to be, very nice.

Each car comes separated and you have to connect them up, each with their own familiar 8 pin connector at the diaphram doors. The trucks have a perm connection for one car then a push-pin style connection for the other car to hook into. Its not articulated exactly like the prototype, but solves the modeling issue to separate the cars. I ran it around my test track which isnt exactly smooth and it hit a bad section and one middle section derailed, but I checked and fixed my track and it ran fine on it. I have another sharp turn test loop with a 12 inch radius, and it took the curve just fine, they say it will take 9 inch radius and it looks like it can do that. Thats close to streetcar curves and the electroliner had to take the sharp CTA curves in downtown Chicago. The model should replicate that just fine. I had rougher vertical curves on that test track and it didn’t like that, its more severe than normal track would be so I expect that. But my other traction cars run it fine.

Then I turned the lights off.

Very nice interior and lit up already too.

The headlight when reversed displays red, this isnt authentic as it has 2 red tail lights, but its a neat feature as if the NS could have done it. It has working trolley poles with an interior switch to use poles for overhead wire running. The poles have a trolley wheel design but the real electroliner uses shoes, but I am not complaining about that, tho you can find the shoe version easy if you want to change that.

Overall I think Con Cor did a magnificent job, some work by the modeler would bring it more correct to the prototype but little complaints on the fidgety differences.

I think the model is maybe a little stiff in its flexibility and might use a little more
