I have two ConCor turbine locomotives i want to convert to DCC … after following the link here to the letter http://www.trainweb.org/nrmrc/dccconv/ccu50.html
i put the loco on Programme track with my powercab and pressed 1 after a while it detected a short circuit, i have made sure the motor is isolated with Kapton tape on the underside of the top of the frame and the lower orange contact to the brush cap is isolated from the chasssis as well, i may be wrong but placing the red and black wires side by side at the front may be causing the short as the truck top retainers are metal.
Have any of you successfully converted the turbine to DCC
any help would be gratefully appreciated.
