I’m looking forward to your second 1,000. Keep it up.
Don’t forget Sioux Falls was also served by the Rock Island and Illinois Central.
Agreed!

Congrats, and welcome to the club.[bow]
Nor stating the obvious, just to run up post count… [;)]
Of course, ever curious me - what is a murphy siding?
Congratulations!

Um…Thanks…[:I]…I wasn’t counting.
I’ll work on something controversial. [:-,]
You know, it’s a siding where anything that can go wrong will.[}:)]
CONGRATS!!![bday][bday][bday][bday][bday][bday][bday]
Murphy Siding was a siding off the Milwaukee Road near where I lived as a kid. The siding had been removed,I think, and all that was there was a sign: Murphy Siding. It was the only railroad related name I could come up with when I joined. All the cool sounding names, like Mud Chicken, and edblysard had been taken. It seemed using one of our cat’s names would have been a little awkward.( Casey,Bella or Millie[:)]). I guess I could have gone with the obvious: “introverted book nut who’s interested in trains”…naw.[;)]
Hey - cat names are always in style! We could have had a Mookie and a Millie. Well, maybe Miller would be more apropos…
I love to quiz people about their names - get some most interesting answers!
