I just received my NMRA Scale Rails March edition. On the cover is Wolfgang’s little 25 ton switcher. Inside is an article by Wolgang on how he built the little locomotive.
Great work, Wolfgang!

Yep, my issue arrived yesterday and this afternoon I had the chance to read the article.
Wolfgang, excellent work, excellent photos, and excellent and helpful article!

Drat. When renewing NMRA membership in December, I elected to drop the magazine. Oh well, I can imagine what the cover looks like.

It is a nice piece of scratchbuilding. The issue also has a really interesting article, sort of theoretical but clearly written, about scaling down mass and inertia. It explains why videos of model trains somehow just don’t look like real trains.

Congradulations Wolfgang! I don’t get the magazine so maybe you could post a photo of the engine.

Thank you.
Stephen M. Priest, MMR at Scale Rails made a great article (thank you Stephen) from my "English text". [:)]
Here’s a video with this little gem.
Wolfgang
This recognition is certainly well-deserved. Wolfgang is an excellent modeller who has shared his techniques with us on numerous occasions.
I looked for the magazine last weekend, but I couldn’t find it at the store I was at.
Congrats thou!!! I really enjoy your videos of your “little work horse”.
All the Wolfgang Dudler videos (and his website) are worth checking out but for reasons I find hard to explain I love this brief video the most:
